CHRISTMAS TREE COMPETITION terms & conditions

1. Promoter

The promoter is The White House Windermere, Bowness-on-Windermere, Cumbria, LA23 3DQ.

2. Eligibility

  • Open to UK residents aged 18 years or over.
  • Employees of The White House Windermere, their immediate family members, or anyone connected with the competition are not eligible to enter.
  • Entrants must have a public Instagram or Facebook account to allow their post to be viewed.

3. How to Enter

To enter:

  1. Take a festive photo beside our outdoor Christmas Tree at The White House Windermere.
  2. Post your photo to Instagram or Facebook.
  3. Follow and tag @thewhitehousewindermere.

Each unique post counts as one entry. No purchase is necessary.

4. Competition Dates

Opens: 10th November 2025

Closes: 23:59 on 31st December 2025. Entries received after this time will not be counted.

5. Prize

  • The prize is a one-night stay for two people in a luxury room at The White House Windermere.
  • Prize must be redeemed between January and June 2026, excluding peak or holiday dates (subject to availability).
  • The prize is non-transferable and no cash alternative is available.

6. Winner Selection & Notification

  • The winner will be chosen by The White House Windermere team based on eligible entries received during the competition period.
  • The winner will be announced via Instagram and Facebook and contacted directly via DM from our official account
    @thewhitehousewindermere in January 2026.
  • If the winner does not respond within 7 days, a new winner may be selected.

7. Publicity

By entering, you grant The White House Windermere permission to repost or share your photo on our social media channels, website, and marketing materials, with credit given to your account handle.

8. General

  • The White House Windermere reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition or these terms if circumstances arise outside of its control.
  • This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, Facebook, or Meta.
  • Entry into the competition constitutes full acceptance of these terms and conditions.
